Job Description: Financial Planning and Analysis Manager
Sprout is a trusted stakeholder management software-as-a-service that helps companies better manage their equity, employee share options and digital assets. The founders of Sprout are experienced startup veterans who noticed both service and knowledge gaps in how we manage this. Roots was founded by Andy Lee, an ex-Uber APAC senior executive, and Tony Sun, a China product and engineering leader, who both have a combined 40-years of experience launching organizations and growing teams to scale. We were founded in 2019 and we are backed by a group of prominent early-stage investors.
Team You Are Joining
This role will partner closely with the senior management and commercial team to develop a (2-5 year) company projection model, build and evaluate Sprout’s financial goals/benchmarks, and will also be used to set annual budgets.
Responsibilities:
Partner with the executive team to support business decisions through detailed financial analysis
Provide reporting, dashboard metrics, and hands-on analytical support to develop actionable insights for company leaders
Perform quantitative and qualitative analysis to provide recommendations that help operate a business with a high degree of efficiency
Develop, analyze, and interpret budgeting, forecasting, and long-range strategic planning processes
Participate in supporting daily accounting functions, e.g. system implementation/maintenance or payment processing etc.
Liaise with external accountants on monthly accounting and expenses
Assist the CEO in fundraising and investor communications
Own ad hoc strategic and operational projects as required, and drive process improvements by partnering with cross-functional owners
What You Bring:
2-3 years of finance experience in an investment bank / big4 / tech company
Experience in working with a high-growth tech company is a plus
Candidates with experience in FP&A or management reporting will be a plus
Knowledge and / or experience in cap table will be a plus
Experience building detailed financial models in Excel
Demonstrated experience communicating effectively with senior leadership
Experience working independently and navigating ambiguity
Bachelor’s degree in Finance & Accounting, Professional Accountancy or any related disciplines
Great in English and Chinese (both Cantonese and Mandarin)
Detail minded, strong in analytical skills and excellent in presentation and interpersonal skills
Short notice will be highly preferred
